Community Spotlight: Jefferson City Trail Users

Trail users enjoy a Community Hike. Summer, 2024.

The Jefferson City Trail Users is an active community member group that enjoys walking and hiking local trails. Their goal is to support trail use, maintenance, and improvements on all types of trails local to the Jefferson City area. Their Facebook Group has over 2,000 members, often posting photos from hikes and inviting groups to link up for a walk.

They co-host Community Hikes monthly alongside JC Parks, and have a growing number of dues-paying members. Members dues support projects like trail markers and signage at Binder Park Lake. Members often volunteer with light trail maintenance and collaborate with JC Parks staff on trail needs.
