The Washington Park Skate Park is just behind the Washington Park Ice Arena, sharing a parking lot to the left of the building. Visitors can park in the lot and enjoy skating the 13,000 square foot concrete skate park.
Skate Park Stats:
Renovated in 2023, the Washington Park Skate Park includes concrete structures and several pre-fabricated obstacles, including a half pipe, quarter pipe, bank ramp, pyramid corner, and grindboxes. Additional features and amenities have been added to the park in response to community requests, including:
- Permanent lighting
- Trash and cigarette receptacles
- Picnic tables
- Water fountain
- Cameras to mitigate vandalism
Ongoing Maintenance
In response to community concerns about safety and concrete condition, JC Parks established a yearly safety inspection for this park beginning in August of 2024. The results of this safety inspection may be included in the New & Noteworthy section of this web page (below).
